Last year I started www.racecalendarusa.com to provide information to runners across the USA as I have to Long Island NY runners. With our growth on Long Island, I was unable to keep up with the demand, no matter how I tied to automate it. I was posting about some fine events across the country, but with that came an abundance of spam.
Now with having acquired www.lirunning.com it is even more difficult to keep up with our local races to even consider trying to handle all of the USA.
With a blog, I'm hoping to continue USA support by letting race directors post their events. I have maintained a Facebook page for RaceCalendarUSA; https://www.facebook.com/racecalendarusa and invite race directors to post their event there so that runners across the country can see them.
I will start a Google community group soon to support this. Look for it. I look forward to joining with the Google community in expanding our reach and bringing runners a new source of information.
